Chilkat Environmental prepared a comprehensive annotated chronology of the Beach Road Tank Farm and Jones Point Stockpile contaminated sites in Haines for a legal team pursuing damages from the environmental contractor. This detailed information was used by the Alaska District Attorney Office, ADEC and Klukwan Inc. Legal action was deterred and resources used for cleanup.
In 2012 Chilkat Environmental designed and implemented subsurface hydrology improvements to deter iron oxidizing bacteria affected subsurface water from daylighting and causing visual impacts to property value at a formerly contaminated site currently under institutional controls to improve sale value.
