Alaska faces significant challenges to manage solid waste and we are prepared to help by working with communities to author solid waste management plans, landfill and special waste permits, permit compliance and landfill closure plans.  Through the planning process all reasonable alternatives are considered to reduce and divert the waste stream while considering the unique logistical and cost challenges. For landfill permitting and closure Chilkat Environmental works closely with ADEC staff.
