Qawangin Tribe- Fort Schwatka Cleanup
Chilkat worked closely with the Qawalangin Tribe, Army Corps of Engineers, State Historic Preservation Office, National Park Service and landowners to cleanup the National Historic Site at Ulakta Head on Mount Ballyhoo near Unalaska. The plan required careful consideration to preserve the character of the historic WWII site while removing building debris that no longer contributed to the value of historic monument.
