Klukwan Inc. – Jones Point Stockpile Maintenance

 

Chilkat Environmental made 5 stockpiles from a single failed stockpile that had sunk into the ground beneath groundwater saturation.  The design is intended to drain water from petroleum-contaminated soil to expedite remediation and contain offsite migration of contaminants.  Stockpile maintenance is ongoing and includes; repair of cover from tears, pumping recovery system through activated carbon to dry soil and dispel clean water.  By the time six years had passed 75% of the soil accomplished remediation goals and maintenance continues.  Over 60,000 gallons of contaminated water were treated at this site using a custom filter system designed by Will and Elijah.
