Federal Sites
Our staff has conducted many Phase 1, Phase 2, work plans, health and safety plans and clean-ups for contaminated sites throughout Alaska. We have many years of experience throughout Alaska conducting these tasks under the Department of Defense (DoD) Native American Lands Environmental Mitigation Program (NALEMP) and work with other experienced contractors including Sundance Consulting to provide one of the most experienced and qualified NALEMP team in Alaska. Chilkat Environmental conducts ASTM 1527-06 assessments and Phase 2 assessments including subsurface investigations, ground penetrating radar, utility and tank locating, PID sampling, soil sampling, radiological testing and other analyses to properly define site conditions.

Other Contaminated Sites
Chilkat Environmental also works with State of Alaska, private, business and non-profit clients to address contaminated sites and is currently developing emergency response equipment capabilities. We are available to assist clients with site characterization including; tank locating, PID sampling, soil sampling, radiological testing and other analyses to properly define site conditions. Our team is qualified to remove underground fuel tanks and manage removal of soils contaminated with metals, PCB’s, oil or fuel.
